City Of God Ministries is happy to announce the opening of a new branch of community outreach in our ministry, “ Two Fish & Five Loaves Pantry”.
We are a bible- based Christian ministry and we offer services without discrimination to anyone seeking assistance. We count it a great joy and privilege to be able to serve the community in providing a few of lifes' basic essentials: food, love & prayer. " Two Fish & Five Loaves Pantry" seeks to meet the needs of families.

The Gospels tell the story of Christ using two fish and five loaves of bread to feed the 5,000. This image is reflected in City of God's ministry of “Fishes & Loaves.” For several years now we have been using the means that has been afforded us to serve our parishioners and community with the resources that were at our disposal to the best of our ability.  With the need being so great, we didn't feel that we were doing enough. "Little becomes much, when you place it in the Master's hand." This ministry is going to the next level! Two Fish and Five Loaves food bank officially opens January 2009 to provide non-perishable food items to the less fortunate of our community. This community outreach will make it possible for us to better serve our community.

Based on recent statistics for Mecklenburg County, twenty of the twenty-five cities within the county reported an increase in the demand for emergency food assistance over the past year. Geographically, that’s 95% of the county experiencing this increase and shortage of tangible food supply.
